In the hands of bankers for the past two seasons, Wyoming's
Snowy Range Ski Area has been sold to Aaron and Becky
Maddox. This in the couple's baptism by fire into the challenging
world of ski area ownership.
Snowy Range is a 27-trail, family oriented ski area, located near
Laramie, Wyoming inside the Medicine Bow-Routt National
Forest. The summit of the mountain lies at a lofty 10,000 ft
above sea level with the base at 9,000-ft.
The area has four chairlifts and a beginner Magic Carpet. Annual
snowfall is estimated at 250 inches. The longest trail is 1.8 miles.
