Yet another ski area has changed hands this year. This time
a major California area has been sold.
If the pending real estate deal goes through, KSL Capital Partners
LLC, will become the new owners of mammoth Squaw Valley, the
site of the 1960 Winter Olympics.
KSL Capital Partners is a Denver-based private equity firm
with investments in private golf clubs, hotels and resort
properties. The firm is lead by Eric Resnick and Michael
Shannon.
The deal where the selling price has not been disclosed is
expected to close by year's end.
