SNOWMAKING UNDERWAY

September 22nd 2009 12:42
What better way to usher in the first week of autumn then
to fire up the snowguns! Colorado's Loveland Ski Area
began making snow at 11:00 MST yesterday--three
days earlier than last season's start.

Snow is being made on three of Loveland's trails
including a top to bottom run, covering over
1000 vertical feet.

A combination of lower than expected temperatures
and natural snow allowed the ski area to turn on
the fan snowguns.
