SKIING IN WEST VIRGINIA THIS WEEKEND

West Virginia's Snowshoe Mountain Resort opens for skiing and
snowboarding Saturday. The resort reports there will be seven
slopes open with three lifts spinning. There's an average base
depth of eight inches, primarily machine-made with a dusting of
natural snow tilled in.
On the Silvercreek side of the resort, skiing will be available
under the lights until 9 p.m.. Lift ticket rates this weekend will
be US$55 all day and US$25 for night skiing.
Weather is predicted to be pleasant in the 18 to 30F degree range.

and riders in the Washington D.C. metro area.
