SKI MARKET STORES IN BANKRUPTCY

The Boston area ski retailer chain, Ski Market has filed for Chapter 11
bankruptcy protection from its creditors. Ski Market is a major player
in the New England ski and snowboard retailing arena.

According to documents filed in their bankruptcy petition, Ski Market
owes close to US$10 million to banks, creditors, landlords and suppliers.

Ski Market operates seven stores and employs 170 people.
