SKI BOWLING LEAGUES
December 8th 2011 22:23
For those interested in scoring a day of inexpensive skiing,
one day per week all season long, should look into signing up
for league racing at their favorite ski areas. Not all areas host
an adult recreational ski racing league but many do.
It's kinda works like a bowling league. You hook up with a
team, pay a modest fee and take two runs through the race
course. It doesn't matter if you're awful. It's all about having
fun and scoring a cheap day of skiing.
For instance, at Vermont's Bromley Mountain the local league
is currently recruiting participants interested in either forming a
four-member team or joining one in need of a "racer."
For US$115 per person, participants get a morning of racing
and an afternoon of free skiing on Wednesdays for nine weeks.
The math works out to US$13 per day!
And it includes a free season wrap-up party with buffet, trophies
and plenty of b.s. Don't forget that free T-shirt.
Bromley's adult race league is called "Innkeeper Race Day" and
has been around for over 40 years. For more information on this
race league, call (802) 824-6498.
