POPE EMBRACES SKIING

November 17th 2010 13:19
Granting an audience to a delegation of Italian ski instructors
this week, Pope Benedict XVI said that skiing allows us
"to ask ourselves about the meaning of creation, to look on
high to open ourselves to the Creator," according to published
reports.

The Pope encouraged ski instructors to nurture a healthy
sports formation and eduction in respect of their environment
in their students.

"Through sporting activity, the person understands better that his
body can not be considered an object, but that, through corporeity,
expresses itself and enters into a relationship with others," he

added.

In conclusion, the Pontiff declared that it's important for ski
instructors to express their testimony as faithful laymen.
