If by chance you get bored skiing the runs of Mt. Hutt
on New Zealand's South Island, there is an aerial escape
to more excitement
For NZ$175, Methuen Heliskiing will pick you up by
helicopter from a booth in the Mt Hutt parking lot and
drop you up on the North Peak featuring 800 meter
vertical drop descents.
Extra runs are NZ$99. The Mt Hutt heliskiing season
runs from August 1 through September 12.
Methuen Helskiing also offers three run and full day
excursions to the Mt Hutt backcountry with overnight
lodging packages available at the remote Glen Falloch
