NORTH AMERICAN SKI SEASON KICKS OFF
October 25th 2010 15:42
It's finally here, the 2010-11 skiing and riding season is underway in
Colorado and Maine, soon to be followed by Killington in Vermont.
Sunday River ski area managed to open their T2 trail on upper
Locke Mountain on Friday.
Colorado's Arapahoe Basin is open with two trails and more snow
expected in the forecast. Loveland Basin has one run, top-to-bottom
skiing and run available for early season enthusiasts.
Killington is pumping out snow on the higher-elevation trails of the
North Ridge section. Perhaps a Friday opening is in the cards?
Sunday River has prudently shut down skiing operations midweek
with an eye towards reopening on the weekend.
