NEW TRAM FOR PEJO
September 13th 2010 14:15
In the Italian Dolomites, Pejo ski resort will be sporting a
new, 100-passenger tramway lift this season. This new
impressive lift will open up skiable terrain that has been
closed for decades.
The new tram rises 1000 vertical meters as it travels from
the Tarlenta area to the ruins of the Mantova mountain hut
at the 3000 meter elevation level. Travel time is six
minutes or so.
From this vantage point, skiers and riders can enjoy an
eight kilometer descent to Pelo Fonti.
Pejo is the oldest ski resort in Italy's Val di Sole region
and home to natural thermal spas which tired skiers can
enjoy after a day on the slopes
