NEW T-BAR FOR MOUNT PISGAH
August 29th 2011 15:43
Since the 1940's, a durable T-bar lift has gallantly served
Mount Pisgah, a community-oriented ski area in Saranac
Lake, NY. This summer, the historic lift is being replaced
by yet another T-bar.
This week, lift towers are going up, followed soon by cable
stringing, motor components and of course, the steadfast
T-bars---once know as "he & she sticks" in the 40s.
Although a simple lift, T-bars have reliably transported
countless skiers and riders uphill for generations. Nice
thing about T-bars is: you don't freeze your body parts
off while riding an open chairlift high above the ground.
If the lift quits for an extended time people, you just simply
push the T-bar away and head down to the base area.
