The Australian Ski Areas Association, the organization which
promotes the interests of the country's ski areas, snow sports
equipment wholesalers and retailers, tour operators and
accommodation and transportation providers has named
a new CEO.
Colin Hackworth takes the helm of ASAA. His career spans
over 30 years in the Australian as well as overseas resorts.
ASAA chairman, Laurie Blampied said, "It is with great pleasure
that ASAA members welcome Mr. Hackworth to his new senior
role with us. His long and extensive experience in the ski
industry at many levels will ensure that ASAA progresses
strongly with all of its current initiatives, including the rollout
of the new 'Snow Australia' brand campaign."
Snow Australia is a promotional push to highlight the unique
and majestic attributes of the Australian snowfields and to raise
awareness of vacation experiences at the nation's alpine
resorts.
