Colorado's Arapahoe Basin Ski Area has announced it will
begin construction on a new US$4 million detachable
quad chairlift this June.
The new lift will replace the 1970s Exhibition fixed-grip triple
chairlift. Ride time will be slashed from six to three minutes.
A-Basin is sponsoring a name-that-lift contest. The winner will
receive either a season pass or a $300 gift certificate to their
sport shop. Contact the ski area if you have a potential name
for their new lift.
