MT WASHINGTON OVERHAUL
August 16th 2011 22:39
A major overhaul is taking place for skiers and riders, right
now on Mount Washington. The 2011-12 season should be
smoking hot for regulars at the two, Mount Washington destination
slider venues.
DESTINATION # 1: Mount Washington Alpine Resort on
Victoria Island, British Columbia is ripping out their aging
lifts and replacing them with, get this: MAGIC CARPETS.
Relax, that's in their Easy Acres beginner area only. Seems
management wants to make the learn-to-ski & ride area less
scary and more beginner friendly. A total of four covered
Magic Carpets are currently being installed, right now.
Damn good idea management boys, don't scare the bejesus
out of your first-timers on their first visit; keep them coming back
for more action!!!!
MOUNT WASHINGTON DESTINATION #2: Yeah, every
real skier and rider knows this place, the New Hampshire one.
The place where you have to hike up to earn your turns down
Tuckerman's Ravine.
Great news for all you hardcore sliders out there: The Tuckerman
hiking trail has been rebuilt and is reopen year-round. Of course,
in season, always check the avalanche danger reports provided
by the US Forest Service before you hike up, click or strap in.
