MITTERSILL CHAIRLIFT TURNING
January 10th 2011 23:32
Up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, the new
Mittersill section double chairlift is operational. It's
been over a quarter century since a lift has spun on
this financially kaput mountain.
Thank the State of New Hampshire, the owners of adjacent
Cannon Mountain who put up the bucks to acquire the 86
acres of skiable terrain and install the chairlift.
Mittersill trails are for expert skiers and riders only. There's
no namby-pamby snowmaking or grooming at all. It's all
natu'ral--the way skiing was went to be.
You get hurt here, you best be skiing with a buddy to help you
out.
Check the Cannon Mountain daily snow report before heading
to Mittersill. If there's not enough natural snow, the chair
doesn't run.
Enjoy!
