MAGIC PREPS TO OPEN
December 2nd 2011 17:55
Vermont's Magic Mountain is making snow today, getting
ready for their gala December 17-18 Opening Weekend
celebration.
It wasn't too long ago that this place was down for the
count with much of its infrastructure in ruins after a
succession of inept owners. However, the new co-op
owned entity has generated a growing following among
the faithful who like their skiing and riding on the inexpensive
retro side of snow life.
Through December 4, fully-transferable "Opening Weekend"
December 17 & 18 lift tickets are available for purchase on-line
at US$59.
The apres-ski party on December 17th will feature the premiere
of Meathead Films' "Prime Cut" flick.
Coming up on New Year's Eve is big party kicking off
within the mountain's classic, 1960s faux-Tyrolean base
lodge.
