LEARN TO SKI JUMP THIS SUMMER

August 10th 2010 19:23
If you got the itch to strap on some boards, either skis or a snowboard
this summer and do some sliding off a jump without freezing
your behind off, Lake Placid has a learn-to-jump-on-any-gear
event coming up on September 1-2.

Under the auspices of the Professional Ski Instructors of America,
the learn-to-jump event covers the basics and will have you
flying off the beginner jump at the Lake Placid Jumping Complex
and landing in the pool within a few hours, safely.

if you're into aerial acrobatics or just plan going off the jump
and splashing down in the deep pool, this event is open to you.

The cost is a reasonable US$245 which includes two-days of
access to the jumping complex, coaching, locker room use
and well, a just damn good time with fellow ski and snowboarding
gals and dudes who want to fly through the air and swim a bit.

For more info check out: www.psia-e.org or call: (518) 452-6095.
