Ever wonder how to fit ski boots like a professional boot
fitter? Well, it's that time of year again when Masterfit
University is conducting a series of two-day, hands-on
workshops across United States ski country.
The courses train participants to fit problem and normal
feet into ski and snowboard boots, make custom footbeds
and modify boots to a customer's specifications.
Various levels of boot fitting courses are offered from the
entry level "Associates" course to the advanced "Masters
Plus"seminars designed for the experienced boot fitter.
New this year is Masterfit U's "Backcountry Connection,"
course which deals with telemark and alpine touring boot
fitting.
After completing one of these two-day seminars, participants
go home with a custom made footbed, a certificate of completion
(this can open the door to a ski/ride shop job) and a head full
of knowledge.
