LEARN A SNOW SPORT MONTH
January 12th 2010 22:17
January is "Learn a Snow Sport Month" in 14 states in the U.S.
What does that mean? Well, 14 state governors have made it
official, they are encouraging people who have never tried skiing
or snowboarding to take a lesson and give it a try.
So far, the following states are onboard with the program"
Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Maine, Michigan, New Hampshire,
New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Utah, Vermont, Washington
and West Virginia.
Well, so what? What does that mean to me?
Deals on learn-to-ski-or-ride rental equipment, lesson, lift
packages for one thing. In all of the above mentioned
states you will find discounted packages or in some cases
completely free.
The best way to research whether the ski area closest to you
is participating in "Learn a Snow Sport Month" is to call them directly.
Be sure to speak to a "live" person who can supply you with the
correct answer.
