LA PARVA ON SALE
September 17th 2010 14:01
Chile's "Haystack Mountain", La Parva ski resort is on sale
through the rest of their season. Lift tickets are now offered
at 50 percent off, and the snow cover is still good!
In their ski and ride shop, management is trying to move the
gear out the door before season end, so prices have been
slashed by 50 to 70 percent.
Even their lessons are on sale--20 percent off through closing
day. La Parva is within an inexpensive shuttle bus ride from
downtown Santiago.
Speaking of Haystack Mountain, the American version in
Vermont is pretty well finished. Demolition crews recently
tore down the last remaining base lodge, the one built in
the borrow, spend, refinance spend, go broke 80s. Plans to get
the ski area up and running as an expensive private club failed
miserably.
