FREE RENTAL GEAR AT VAIL RESORTS
November 9th 2009 13:40
In attempt to curtail lost business from prospective destination
guests who complain about excessive ski baggage charges
imposed by airlines, Vail Resorts is offering free rental
ski or snowboard packages to guests who book and purchase
a two-night minimum vacation package by December 1.
The Vail Resort properties include Heavenly in California,
Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, and Keystone in Colorado.
Unless you are a world class competitive skier or snowboarder,
it makes sense to leave your skis or snowboard at home and simply
rent at your destination. Forget the rip off greedy airline fees imposed
(they'll probably lose your luggage anyway) think of the convenience
of not lugging equipment through the airport and on to the ski resort.
However, a properly fitted pair of personal ski or snowboard boots
should always travel with you, perhaps as carry on luggage.
Rental boots simply can't compete with your own comfortable
well-fitting boots.
