FIRS VERMONT RAIL LAM OF SEASON
August 24th 2010 13:22
Yup, it's that time of year again to get ready for skiing and
riding in North America. And what better way then to
participate in a Rail Jam on snow?
Actually it's crushed ice, but it's still skiing and riding. Vermont's
Bolton Valley ski area is trucking in ice savings from a local
hockey rink and spreading the slippery stuff around to
create a terrain park on the evening of September 3.
Starting at 6 p.m., skiers and riders will be turned loose
in the makeshift Labor Day Weekend terrain park to
whip off their best tricks. After one hour of judging,
the winners will be announced.
Entry fee is a reasonable $10. After the event concludes,
there's a massive equipment sale going on run by The
Ski and Snowboard Liquidation Center. There should be
a couple of great deals to check out.
