EASTERN U.S SKIING NOT OVER YET
April 20th 2010 20:44
Thinking about getting those last turns in before the onslaught
of another U.S summer? Well, skiing and riding is not
over yet in Vermont.
Yeah sure, all the other New England and New York State
ski areas have shut off the lifts and the locked their doors,
but not Jay Peak and Killington in Vermont.
Thanks to impressive snowmaking, abundant natural snow
and skilled grooming throughout the season, both ski areas
have the lifts spinning and the trails open for advanced
skiers and riders.
Killington has a deal where all season pass holders from
anywhere in the world can ski and ride at a discounted
rate. Just bring your season pass from your now closed
area to the ticket window at Killington this week for a
hefty discount.
Temps are still rather on the cool side in Vermont which
should insure some solid base depths for this coming
weekend.
