If you're looking for a summertime excuse to visit a ski
resort, this weekend's 38th Annual Arts Festival could
be just the ticket. A little hiking, cool mountain air,
fine wine, cold beer, and of course 185 artists exhibiting
their work is certain to keep folks busy for the weekend
of July 31 through August 1.
Artists from across the United States, working in a wide
range of media from traditional paintings to fiber, glass and even
jewelry will be exhibiting and discussing their work.
For kids, there is a special hands-on, "Art Alley" to keep
busy hands occupied and learning about the various
art formats.
New this year, a Culinary Arts Exhibit featuring a number of
Colorado's top chefs whipping up various edible creations
to sample.
Dining package plans with wine and beer tasting events
are available through the Crested Butte Resort.
