CATTLE RUSTLING AT SUN PEAKS RESORT
October 4th 2011 17:18
Yup, the wild west is alive and well at Canada's Sun Peaks
ski resort. Up on the slopes, beef cows have been grazing
all summer long, fattening their hides up and keeping the
slopes trimmed down in the process.
Come winter though, it's off to the slaughter house they go.
Steak dinner anyone?
Sun Peaks doesn't own the cattle. They simply allow local
ranchers to graze their herd on their lands. Not a bad idea.
The Sun Peaks & Region Farmers' Market is big on promoting
food products within a 50 mile radius. Makes sense, don't it?
