BLUE MOUNTAIN BUILDING ALPINE-COASTER
May 18th 2010 13:54
Ontario's Blue Mountain ski area is spending C$2.5 million
this spring to build a German designed Alpine-Coaster and
miniature golf course.
Beginning at the top of The Glades trail, the two-seater Alpine-
Coaster descends on a rail track through the trees over jumps,
waves and twists through corkscrew turns. This attraction
is able to operate in most weather conditions, unlike many
alpine slides which shut down when it rains.
Blue Mountain expects to open their new Alpine-Coaster in
mid summer. Over the next few years, the ski area is planning
to add more warm weather attractions like zip lines.
