BELLEAYRE MOUNTAIN OPENS SATURDAY

November 11th 2010 16:43
If all goes according to plan, New York's Belleayre Mpuntain
will be the first ski area in the Catskill Mountains region to
open. Traditionally, Hunter Mountain has been the early
season front runner in the region.

Belleaye Mountain reported they received four inches of natural
snow this week and are making snow when the temperatures
permit. Lift tickets this Saturday, November 13 are priced
at US$25. As always, call ahead or check the area's website
before heading to the mountain.

Hunter Mountain has not announced a formal opening day
but indicated they plan to open when machine-made snow

depths permit. Could be this weekend, could be next weekend.

Neighboring Windham Mountain has their opening day
slated for November 27. Through the woods and over a few
Rip Van Winkle hills, Plattekill Mountain plans to open December
with a reasonable US$30 lift ticket rate in effect through December
20.
