ALTA TO OPEN NOVEMBER 18
November 16th 2011 17:31
Utah's legendary Alta is primed to open for skiing on
Friday, November 18. The snows began falling on October
31 with over 140 centimeters of natural to date.
Opening day rates will be US$57 per day. As more terrain
opens up the daily rate will climb to US$72.
A nice feature at this experts' orientated mountain is that
beginners can use the learning area's rope tows free of charge.
After 3 p.m., the Sunnyside chairlift is also free.
Before they entirely disappear from the planet, all skiers
should experience riding a classic rope tow. When back when
in the early 1930s, these challenging lifts dominated North
America.
After a day of being hauled uphill by hanging on to a moving
rope, you felt as if your arms were about ready to detach from
their sockets.
