4TH OF JULY NIGHT SKIING
July 1st 2010 13:16
Rather than watching fireworks shows this 4th of July,
why not ski and ride instead? Okay, you have to travel
to Coronet Peak in New Zealand to do it, but the snow
should be good.
Night skiing opens for the season at 4 p.m. on the 4th
at Coronet Peak. Trails open include: M1, Shirtfront,
Big Easy and learning terrain.
Night lift tickets are NZ$49 valid from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
A Twilight Pass is also available from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.,
for NZ$95.
In the Coronet Peak Restaurant, kids eat free with a
a parent who purchases a meal. Nice deal.
Coronet Peak has the longest opening hours in New Zealand,
8 a.m. to 9 p.m., when the slopes are open for night skiing
every Friday and Saturday evening through mid September.
