2015 WORLD ALPINE SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS AWARDED TO VAIL/BEAVER CREEK

The FIS, the world governing body of ski competitions has
awarded the prestigious 2015 World Alpine Ski Championships
to Vail/Beaver Creek Resort in Colorado.
The resort has plans to upgrade the men's race courses at
the Beaver Creek Birds of Prey venue. A new restaurant
is also planned for spectators' dining pleasure.
On the Vail side where the women's events are staged,
a new stadium for the finish area is planned.
Vail/Beaver Creek previously staged the World Alpine Ski
Championships in 1989 and 1999.
