Skiing Reviews - January 2011

SAVE ON NH LIFT TICKETS

January 30th 2011 22:58
If you plan on heading to New Hampshire for at least six
days of skiing and riding this season, you can save between
US$10 and US$17 on each lift ticket by purchasing them
through SKI NEW HAMPSHIRE'S website.

SKINH.COM is the ski area association for the state which
offers snow reports, area and lodging info and sells discounted
lift tickets for their member ski areas online.

Basically, the way their discount ticket deal works is this:
Go to the website, pick six day tickets (valid any day or
night this season) for the ski areas of your choice.

The tickets are fully transferable so you can give them to
friends or family members who may be joining you.

The only caveat is that you can only get four tickets for any
one particular area and then select two more days at another one.

Still, it's a good deal. In return for your bucks, you get vouchers
that you turn in at the ski areas on whatever day you decide to
go this season. You don't have to pick specific dates in advance,
but be sure you use them all before season-end.

LIFT MADE IN AMERICA!

January 20th 2011 22:45
Yeah! Finally a new real-goods manufacturing company
has opened it's doors for business in the USA rather than
China. One that will employ USA citizens and pay decent
wages.

Best part? This Salt Lake City based company will be stringing
up new ski lifts and restoring old ones worldwide!

Are we excited about this development? You better believe
it. Finally, a new bona fide stateside manufacturing and
installation operation that will create jobs and help the
ski industry.

For now, SKYTRAC will be manufacturing components
for double, triple and even quad chairlifts--at, get this,

what they call "value pricing."

Doesn't get much better than that for ski area owners,
skiers and snowboarders.

VERMONT HAMMERED WITH SNOW

January 18th 2011 23:06
Right now it's central Vermont's turn to be hammered with snow.
A day after snowplow crews made roads passable, yet another
storm hit--of the light fluffy variety.

For Wednesday, January 19th, roadways should be pleasant
for travel by mid-morning.

Trail-wise, glade skiing and riding is hot! Doesn't get much
better for midweek action if you can break away from work.

Temps are expected to be in the 20F range midweek with
them dropping somewhat towards the weekend.
