NEW JERSEY SKI AREA FLIPPED
May 28th 2010 12:16
After 12 years of ownership, the financially beleaguered Intrawest
Corporation has flipped their Mountain Creek Resort property
in northern New Jersey.
Once two separate ski areas, Mountain Creek was formerly known
as Vernon Valley and Great Gorge before Intrawest bought the
combined operation, and of course renamed it "Mountain Creek
Resort."
What does "creek" have anything to do with a ski area? Mountain,
yes, but "creek." Perhaps it's time for a new name for this fairly
decent ski area as well as new owners.
The new owners are known as Crystal Springs Resort, operators
of waterparks, spas, golf courses, hotels and other tourist oriented
draws.
