Skiing Reviews - November 2009

GRAND TARGHEE LODGING SALE

November 30th 2009 18:50
As a 40th Anniversary promotion, Wyoming's Grand Targhee ski area
is selling greatly discounted room nights in blocks of four nights.
Dubbed the "40th Anniversary Lodging Four-Pack," potential guests
can land upscale rooms for as little as US$62.25 per night.

Here's the deal: when you call Grand Targhee's central reservation line--
800-TAR-GHEE--you pay for four pre-paid room nights at either the
Targhee, Teewmot or Sioux Lodges at US$249 plus tax. You don't
have to book your four nights then but you've got to pay for them
by December 20.

In return, you'll have the room nights to use as a four night stretch, two

two night getaways, or whatever combo you choose. Grand Targhee
says you'll get the best room available at the time you book.

So it is possible to save over US$200 per night on the better rooms.
The caveats are there are no refunds and certain peak holiday period
dates are blacked out. But, if you're considering visiting Grand Targhee
this season, now is the time to book to save the bucks.

LEARN TO SKI CHEAP IN CANADA

November 27th 2009 20:19
Everyone is looking for a deal in the world of skiing and
snowboarding these days. And Canada has one for
the great unlearned masses--those among us who can
not turn a ski or snowboard right and left.

A plethora of Canadian ski areas from the Atlantic to
the Pacific are offering C$26 "Discover Skiing, Snowboarding,
and Cross-Country" lift, lessons and rental equipment
packages this season.

In exchange for your bucks, you receive a rental equipment
package in the genre of your choice, a one hour group intro
lesson and a beginner area lift ticket or trail access fee.

The price is right for those who would like to try to learn to
ski or snowboard this season.
