1/2 MILLION FOR WATERVILLE VALLEY
October 20th 2010 14:53
The new owners of New Hampshire's Waterville Valley ski
area are pumping US$500,000 into snowmaking equipment,
the base lodge and rental shop.
Planned for this season are 25 new snowmaking tower guns on
the mountain and a new grooming machine to smooth it all
out.
In the base lodge, the cafeteria and menu will be upgraded. And
after eating, diners will find the restrooms have been remodeled
to better handle the digestion process of thousands of customers.
Down in the rental shop, new rental equipment sets have been
purchased.
At the helm of the ski area, is ski industry veteran Bob Fries as
general manager. Fries has bounced around a bit from running
ORDA in New York to Stratton and Bolton Valley in Vermont.
